BIOGRAPHY
Eli Lipetz is a strategic and action-oriented litigator with deep experience in construction, personal injury, and subrogated claims. A partner at BPB LLP since 2020, Eli is known for his efficiency, responsiveness, and ability to manage complex litigation while maintaining a client-first approach.
Eli’s construction practice includes representing homebuilders, developers, contractors, subcontractors, and consultants in matters involving deficiencies, delays, building code violations, liens, and Tarion warranty issues. He is often involved in pre-litigation investigations, providing immediate strategic advice before a claim is issued. Eli also handles subrogation matters related to fire losses, water damage, and construction faults.
In his personal injury work, Eli defends institutional clients in complex motor vehicle and occupiers’ liability cases, including catastrophic injury claims. He is trusted preferred counsel to domestic and international airports, major telecommunications providers, professional sports venues, and vehicle rental service providers.
Eli is recognized for tailoring legal strategy to client priorities—whether that means litigating vigorously or pursuing early resolution. He manages his practice with clarity and responsiveness, ensuring each client feels that their matter is handled with priority and precision.
Within BPB LLP, Eli plays an active role in mentoring junior lawyers and articling students, contributing to the development of the firm’s next generation of legal talent.
Eli earned his law degree from Osgoode Hall. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, three children, and their dog.
