BIOGRAPHY
David A. Patton is a partner at Benson Percival Brown LLP with more than three decades of litigation experience. His practice spans insurance defence and civil liability matters, where he is recognized for strategic advocacy and a pragmatic approach to resolving complex disputes.
David joined the firm as an articling student after completing his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees at the University of Saskatchewan. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1992 and became a partner in 1997. In addition to his early practice as an associate at BPB LLP, David provided in-house legal services to one of Canada’s largest insurers, giving him unique insight into the challenges faced by institutional clients.
Over his career, David has acted for insurers, corporations, and professionals in high-value claims, developing a reputation for precision, efficiency, and client-centred advocacy. David remains active in the professional community.
