BIOGRAPHY
Darren Delaney is a trusted legal advisor with over two decades of experience in insurance litigation. A partner at Benson Percival Brown LLP, he is recognized for his practical, results-driven approach and his ability to balance efficient resolution with strong courtroom advocacy. Clients and colleagues describe him as steady, pragmatic, and committed to achieving the best possible outcomes.
Darren’s practice spans all areas of insurance defence, with a particular emphasis on motor vehicle claims. He also acts on cases involving occupiers’ liability, product liability and liquor liability.. Darren has participated in jury trials, and has participated in a wide range of motions, applications, and appeals at every level of court in Ontario. He has also appeared before multiple administrative tribunals.
In addition to his litigation work, Darren contributes to the legal community as a faculty speaker for the Ontario Bar Association. He is also an active member of the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations, The Advocates’ Society, and the Toronto Lawyers Association.
Darren earned his LL.B. from the University of Windsor in 2003, following a Bachelor of Arts degree from York University in 2000. Outside of his practice, he values family time and maintains a strong commitment to physical fitness.
