BIOGRAPHY

Alanna Marchese is a passionate and tenacious litigator with a growing insurance defence practice, known for her strategic mindset and commitment to high-quality advocacy. Since joining BPB LLP as an articling student in 2020 and becoming an associate after her call to the bar, Alanna has developed particular experience in motor vehicle accident claims, occupiers’ liability, slip-and-falls, property damage, and assault-related matters.

Alanna’s legal approach is grounded in integrity, clarity, and persistent advocacy. She is especially drawn to civil assault and sexual assault claims and is actively expanding her practice into these areas—bringing a thoughtful, client-focused lens to matters often marked by sensitivity and complexity.

She regularly appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and has earned client trust through diligent motion work and courtroom strategy. One case of note involved Belair Insurance v. Edwards, in which Alanna successfully overturned a default judgment and restored the client’s right to defend the claim—an outcome with meaningful impact despite the small claims context.

Alanna’s client relationships are defined by open communication, clear risk framing, and responsive service. She tailors her strategy to each client’s business priorities and risk tolerance, ensuring updates and cost implications are addressed early and often.

Beyond her legal work, Alanna is a dedicated foodie and travel enthusiast, with a passion for Italian cuisine. She also enjoys cooking, staying active, and spending time outdoors with her golden retriever, Frankie.
