BIOGRAPHY
Christian Caffarena is a trusted litigator with more than twenty years of experience defending complex liability claims across Ontario. A partner at Benson Percival Brown LLP, he is recognized for his steady, pragmatic approach and his ability to deliver clear, results-driven solutions for clients facing significant disputes.
Christian’s practice focuses on the defence of institutional and commercial clients. He has developed particular expertise in aviation law and airport liability, as well as slip-and-fall claims involving banks, grocery chains, and other large retailers. He also represents insurers and corporations in motor vehicle accidents, property damage claims, contractual disputes, and professional negligence matters. Known as a skilled negotiator, Christian is often sought for his ability to resolve complex disputes through both strong advocacy and practical settlement strategies.
Since articling with BPB LLP in 2003, Christian has appeared before Masters and Judges of the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. His promotion to partner in 2011 reflected not only his legal expertise but also his alignment with the firm’s values of advocacy, integrity, and agility.
Christian is an active member of the Law Society of Ontario and The Advocates’ Society, where he contributes to the profession’s culture of collegiality and mentorship. His client work is defined by clear communication and a focus on practical advice tailored to business realities.
He earned his LL.B. from Queen’s University in 2003, after completing a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Criminology and Anthropology at the University of Windsor. He is fluent in Spanish.
