Cory Young is a strategic and steady advocate with a practice focused on insurance defence and complex liability. A partner at BPB LLP since 2022, Cory is known for his thoughtful, measured approach and ability to craft practical, responsive legal strategies tailored to each client’s needs.
Cory’s work spans a range of liability issues, including personal injury, construction deficiencies, product liability, professional negligence, and infrastructure-related claims. His clients include large telecommunications companies and commercial enterprises navigating disputes over property damage, construction design, and operational incidents. Whether advising on occupiers’ liability, general liability, or commercial risk, Cory brings deep legal insight and clarity to every file.

Cory earned his J.D. from Queen’s University in 2012 after completing his Honours B.A. in Political Science at the University of Western Ontario. He joined BPB LLP in 2019 following several years at a prominent Toronto insurance defence firm.
Within the firm, Cory supports junior lawyers through mentorship and is known for his approachable and collaborative style. Outside of work, he stays active in his community through involvement with his children’s school and daycare. A lifelong sports fan, Cory enjoys baseball, socializing with friends, and spending quality time with his family.
